Mrs. White the Naturalist

Mrs. White came to our school to teach us about different animals. A naturalist is a person who learns about animals and how they can help the animals.  We learned that once a skunk sprays it cannot spray again for 10 to 12 days.  We also learned that some bunnies can jump straight up into the air.  We loved learning about the animals!

Fall and Halloween Parties

We had a great time at the Fall and Halloween Parties!

We ate a snack, did a craft and played a game.

3-D Pumpkins with Mrs. Suzie

We made 3-D pumpkins with Mrs. Suzie.  Mrs. Suzie is a presenter from Ag in the Classroom.  We learned a pepita is the green seed inside the pumpkin seed.  We had fun with Mrs. Suzie  :)

Kindness Rocks

We read a story about a kindness spot.  We painted kindness rocks.  To remind us to be kind.  The rocks will be placed around the outside of our school.  We had a great time painting the rocks!   

Library Dogs

Support dogs came and listened to us read in the library.  A group of students took turns reading to the dogs.  After reading, the students were able to pet the dogs.  We had a great time reading to the dogs! 

Tops and Bottoms with Mrs. Suzie

This week Mrs. Suzie, from the AG in the Classroom Program, came to read us a story and do an activity.

We learned that some vegetables grow below the ground and some grow above the ground.  We had a great time!

Fraction Flowers

We had an exciting time decorating our fraction flowers.  We created halves and fourths flowers.  Our pictures were very colorful!😊

The Living Learning Lab

We went to the Living Learning Lab and read a book about seeds.  Then we sorted seeds and tried to find seeds in a banana.  We loved exploring in the lab!

Students were able to checkout their first book from the library!  The kids were so excited! Please remember that library books are due on Fridays :)

First Week of School

We have had a wonderful time getting to know our teammates and learning our routines.
